Using Hydrogen Peroxide and Green Tea in the Home
Hydrogen Peroxide is known for being a great way to get rid of infections in small cuts. Likewise, green tea is known as a good tea that can help you fight cancer. However, did you know that both of these items can be used to help keep your home clean and smelling fresh?
Hydrogen Peroxide
Hydrogen Peroxide can replace many household chemicals and its uses include:
- Instead of using chlorine bleach, you can use hydrogen peroxide when you are washing white clothes. Just use one cup of hydrogen peroxide in place of bleach and you will get nice clean clothes.
- You can make an excellent counter sanitizer that destroys germs if you just put together a 50 percent hydrogen peroxide and 50 percent water solution. Put it into a spray bottle and use that on your counters.
- If you want to help your plants grow, take one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and add it into one cup of water. Then water your plants with this and they will grow bigger and stronger than ever.
Green Tea
While green tea is great to drink, it can also be a great way to keep your home smelling nice. Try these tips:
- Open up a green tea bag into a bowl and crush up the leaves. Then, sprinkle those leaves onto the carpet. Once you have done that, leave the leaves there for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, vacuum up the leaves. This is a great way to deodorize your carpet.
- If the cat litter is smelling, then you can take baking soda and green leaves and sprinkle the cat litter. This will keep it from smelling.
- If your pet’s bed smells, just put the green tea leaves into the bed to help freshen up the smell. You can also put it in clothes hampers as well.
Both green tea and hydrogen peroxide are excellent at providing you with clean and fresh solutions for your home that are healthy and non-toxic. In this day and age, where there are more toxins in our home than ever, it is important to have viable eco-friendly solutions.
