The Power of Lemon Juice
We think of lemon juice as something you put on fish to add some taste. However, lemon juice is actually a very good cleaner. While it may not clean as well as vinegar or baking soda, it does have plenty of uses around the home that can make it a very important part of any cleaning regiment in your home. An added plus is that it smells nice, and it is a natural smell, not a fake one that may contain chemicals that cause cancer.
- Take equal parts lemon juice and water and you will have made an excellent all-purpose cleaner that deodorizes and sanitizes as good, or better, than leading chemical cleaning products.
- Mix together lemon juice and baking soda and you will have an excellent copper and chrome cleaning solution.
- Cutting boards are full of germs, so it is important that you get rid of those germs so that you do not get sick. By taking lemon juice, you can pour it on the board and clean the board, while removing the bacteria that can cause illnesses.
- If you take lemon juice and put it in a bottle, you can use that to clean both glass and mirrors in your home.
- Instead of using air fresheners that are harmful to your lungs, you can take some lemon juice, put it in a bowl, and you will have a great natural air freshener in your home.
Lemon juice, baking soda and vinegar should be three important parts of any household. These three products can clean practically everything in the home easily and in a healthy manner. The odd thing is that so many homes have these products, but so few clean with them. By cleaning with these products, you keep the air in your home clean and you keep chemicals out of your home. Currently, chemical levels in the home are 70 times that outside the home and our homes have more chemicals in them now, than chemical labs did 100 years ago.
