When you buy items that had to be shipped from elsewhere, you are buying items that cost a lot in terms of carbon dioxide output. If you have to get wood from China , you are paying for the emissions it took to get the wood across the ocean and to your home. Many people do not think about this but it is important that you do in order to protect the environment and our world.
